When the blood supply in the brain gets interrupted due to which the blood vessels in the brain ruptures and internally bleeds because of rupture of blood vessels or blockages of blood vessels the oxygen supply to the brain tissue gets interrupted . The brain cells starts damaging and start dieing within few minutes.

Causes :

• Hyper tension
• Heart Disease, Vascular Artery Disease
• Excessive use of alcohol
• Obesity / Overweight
• Family History of stroke

Types of Stroke:
• Transient Ischemic Attack – It is caused by blood clots.

• Ischemic Stroke – It is caused by blockage in artery by clot or group of clots.

• Hemorrhagic Stroke – Caused leaking blood vessels that lead to brain.

• CT scan
• MRI
• Carotid Ultrasound
• Echocardiogram
• Cerebral Angiogram

Treatment:
• Physiotherapy
• Speech Therapy
• Occupational Therapy
• Stroke Rehabilitation.
